Lúnasa, 44-46 King Street
30th March: 12.00pm – 3.00pm

Join us for this free, enjoyable workshop when we will build a model of your dream house out of recycled crafting supplies.

You’ll be able to join in with conversations about housing, co-operatives, your ideal living situation, alternatives to mortgages and renting, and what makes a house a home. Or start your own conversation!

There will, of course, be proper tea!

We want a really strong and diverse team, so people of all backgrounds, abilities and identities are welcome to come along to this fun event. No experience is necessary. Feel free to bring your own cardboard, wool and things or just use our recycled materials which we will have available.

Proper Tea Housing Cooperative is a group of people working towards setting up a fully mutual housing co-op in Northern Ireland (most likely in the Belfast area). We want to provide quality, safe, sustainable, accessible housing that raises up the people who live here. We are interested in the potential of community-owned and managed housing to support civil society and provide alternatives to neoliberalism. We prioritise dignity, friendship, respect and empowerment in providing tenant-managed housing. We are currently recruiting new members who want to help us make it happen.
