Arts Resource Centre 7 Donegall Street Place, Donegall Street
30th March: 3.30pm – 5.30pm (doors 3.00pm)

The importance of music and the arts in fighting the rise of the far-right.

Right wing politics, the alt right, or even fully-fledged fascism is on the rise. Trump, Bolsonaro, UKIP, Tommy Robinson and other formations throughout Europe, are one reflection of the phenomenon, but right wing commentators, comedians, artists and musicians are utilising cultural outlets to get their message across.

Dave Randall, guitar player with Faithless, Sinead O’Connor, Dido and One World, author of Sound System – The Political Power of Music will speak about the history of music, arts and culture in combating the far right and the importance of politically orientated culture today.m>
