The community conversation model enables and encourages dialogue and discussion in relation to challenging and difficult topics.
The loss of a primary school is clearly an emotive issue for the community affected. This workshop aims to demonstrate how community conversations, facilitated by non-partisan organisations, participants can find common ground and a positive way forward. In this case, the conversation will centre on the question: ‘what is the best way forward for sustainable primary school provision in the area?’ This event is hosted by the Integrated Education Fund and is based on a creative new community engagement model they’ve been trialling for area-based education planning in Northern Ireland, funded by Building Change Trust.
