Big data and the employment of algorithmic decision making.
This event will discuss the increasing reliance on big data and the employment of algorithmic decision making in the public sphere. It will be particularly interested in how this relates to issues of privacy and surveillance. We will incorporate staff from the Administrative Data Research Centre, and perhaps walk people through ‘day in the life of your data’ exploring all the ways in which your data is captured and stored in a day.
