25th March: 1.00pm – 2.00pm

Driverless cars and the modern trolley problem.

Driverless cars may not have humans in the driver’s seat, but a lot goes into the process of deciding how the car ‘decides’. This workshop will walk people through all of the decisions that must go into training the system in driverless cars, and challenge participants to get their hands dirty with the sticky moral quandaries which emerge.
