How to change the world
A campaigning workshop led by Adam McGibbon.

Belfast-born Adam McGibbon is an award-winning activist who has led campaigns that have derailed university fee increases, shut down government fossil fuel financing and elected progressive politicians across these islands, to name but a few.

After stints working in the student movement, the trade union movement, for political parties and for international environmental organisations, he is now the UK Campaign Lead for Market Forces, a campaign group that shifts banks, insurance companies and investors away from activities that harm the environment.

Join this workshop on how to run effective campaigns that change society, as part of Imagine! Belfast’s Democracy Day strand.

Aimed at everyone from absolute beginners to campaigning professionals, Adam will be sharing lessons from past and current campaigns, and talking about how we can make change in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Sponsored by the QUB Democracy Unit.
