Lionel Shriver: in conversation with William Crawley

We are delighted to host this award-winning novelist on one of her rare visits to Belfast. Lionel Shriver is a novelist whose previous books include the Orange Prize-winner We Need to Talk About Kevin, The Post-Birthday World (2007), So Much for That (2010), The New Republic (2012), Big Brother: A Novel (2013), The Mandibles: A Family, 2029-2047 (2016), The Standing Chandelier (2017) and Property (2018).

For this event, she will be interviewed by the leading BBC NI journalist, William Crawley, presenter of Talkback. For several years Lionel recorded weekly comment pieces for this programme in the David Dunseith era.

Lionel is widely published as a journalist, writing features, columns, op-eds, and book reviews for the Guardian, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Economist, and many other publications. She is frequently interviewed on television, radio, and in print media.

Formerly a resident of Belfast during 1987-1999, she now lives in London and Brooklyn.
