Crescent Arts Centre, University Road
14th March: 2.00pm – 4.30pm

Find out about Participatory Budgeting and how you can decide!

Participatory Budgeting is a democracy innovation where residents get to submit ideas and vote on how public money is spent. From its creation in Brazil in the 1980s, Participatory Budgeting has spread around the world and is now used by public authorities across Europe, including the UK and Ireland – is it time for Northern Ireland to get involved?

The event will provide a taster session exploring what Participatory Budgeting (PB) is and how you can get involved in deciding how public resources are allocated. There will be an opportunity to try out a mock PB process; hear about good practice both locally and from cross the UK; and sign up to become a PB Network member.
