27th March: available here from 6.20pm
An evening in which comedians showcase Belfast’s alternative and more radical fringe talent through performance and discussion.
Comedy finds itself both on the right and wrong sides of history; it surpasses all divides and yet it can be divisive. As we celebrate equal marriage and abortion rights coming to Northern Ireland, we are turning our eyes to comedy. As our local scene routinely runs events with a minority or total lack of diverse performers and most of our big-ticket acts are men, we ask a panel of gig organisers and performers what can be done to make our comedy scene more reflective of everyday lives.
