Queen’s Film Theatre, University Square
14th March: 2.30pm – 5.00pm (doors 2.00pm)
Join us at this special event that centres around the screening of Golden Globe winning film All About My Mother (1999), Pedro Almodóvar’s colourful and critically acclaimed exploration of female sexuality, friendship, life and loss.
The event is a collaboration between ARK and Film Studies at Queen’s University Belfast and the screening will be used to stimulate a discussion of sexuality and in particular to discuss ‘what is a woman?’
Dr. Sian Barber will lead the post-screening discussion and a pop-up (confession box) will be placed in the QFT foyer to allow participants to anonymously record their personal responses to the film and issues raised.
This event is free of charge but places are limited so please sign up early.
