Unseen but heard: Is Type 1 diabetes a disability?
Diabetes UK is facilitating a debate on the question; ‘Is type 1 Diabetes a disability?’. Diabetes is a complex, relentless condition and people living with it will sometimes have differing opinions on whether they view it as a disability or not. So, what do you think?
This event will create a space for speakers to present their prepared arguments for and against and we would like you to get involved too. There is no right or wrong, just the sharing of ideas and opinions and helping to raise awareness about diabetes.
The Our Lives, Our Voices project is supported by Diabetes UK Northern Ireland and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund NI to deliver programmes for young people aged 13-25 years old living with type 1 diabetes in Northern Ireland.
