It is important to move beyond recent narratives of ‘Fake News’ and a ‘Post-Truth’ world, to emphasise fact checking’s position in a wider context of human nature, interaction, and our inter-relatedness.

A discussion on the interplay of facts, opinion, and power, accentuated by social media networks as a means to manipulate consent. You will also learn what FactCheckNI and its partners are doing to combat misinformation campaigns, through media literacy and technical tools.
