Our 2025 Call for Events is intended to give people a role in programming the festival, from suggesting speakers to directly creating and delivering events. Although we can’t run with every proposal, we promise to look seriously at every suggestion and come back to you with a reasoned response.
If you are interested, please complete the short Event Submission Form before the deadline on 15 November 2024.
We are open to all suggestions but we particularly appreciate proposals that are original, imaginative and creative. You may have an idea for an event around a particular issue or idea using a format such as a debate, performance, exhibition, workshop – or even a kids offering. However, your proposed event has to be engaging and accessible for the wider community, and deliverable from a logistical, health and safety, and financial point of view. We can help find you a venue and take care of marketing and ticketing etc. We can also offer a small amount of funding to support your proposed event if needed (though we expect well-funded organisations to take care of their own expenses).
Next year, the festival is likely to focus on a number of themes including the climate crisis, diversity issues, the current conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, civic activism and deliberative democracy, however please do not regard this as a prescriptive list. We need you to complete the submission form with as much detail as possible. Your submission will be acknowledged, before being considered alongside other applications. Shortlisted suggestions will be taken forward by our Board and the final decision will be made by the end of November.
If you require any further information, please contact us at he***@im************.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
