Activism in Focus: Creating Meaningful Change

Join us for ‘Activism in Focus’, designed to empower grassroots changemakers with the essential tools and strategies for effective advocacy.

FRIDAY 28TH MARCH

1:00PM – 2:30PM

£5

This interactive event brings together three panelists with experience in activism – Rebecca Bellamy, Stuart Bailie, and Jakob Dugan-Brause – who will share their invaluable insights into peaceful demonstration techniques and powerful communication strategies.

Participants will learn about crafting compelling narratives, mobilising communities, and creating meaningful social impact through non-violent activism. The centerpiece of the afternoon is an expert panel discussion which will unpack the nuances of successful grassroots movements and share practical approaches to driving social change.

Following the panel, an interactive Q&A session will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to seek personalised advice, ask critical questions and connect directly with experienced activists.

Whether you’re a seasoned advocate or just beginning your journey, this event offers concrete skills to amplify your voice and create lasting societal transformation.

This event is part of At the Crossroads: The Campaign for Civil Rights in Northern Ireland, a project developed by The Linen Hall and which runs at The Linen Hall from 18 March to 25 April. This project is supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs Reconciliation Fund and has also received financial support from the Northern Ireland Community Relations Council which aims to promote a pluralist society characterised by equity, respect for diversity and recognition of interdependence. The views expressed in the project do not necessarily reflect those of the Community Relations Council.
