For Belfast 2024 we did Nothing.
Nothing as pause and possibility, and possibly protest.
We wanted to create a space where Nothing happened, to curate conversations about Nothing and make spaces for people to idle, to linger and to think.
We remain serious and playful about doing nothing, so in 2025 we’re going to continue to do Nothing
Because Nothing really matters (and so does a free lunch).
Daisy Chain Inc is a creative consultancy reimagining spaces through people & culture.
We believe that culture is what makes a place worth living in.
Wherever people gather to live, work and play, culture and creativity are present. It is in the cultural expressions created through human interaction that places are made and remade and remade again.
And yet culture is offered little, if any, space to breathe in conversations about public policy or city planning. The people with creative ideas, commitment and love for their places are usually cut off from the ability to effect change there.
We believe that our ideas about what art and culture are, and can be, must become much more expansive. This is not just about making places look better by adding something pretty.
Creativity is not a luxury or an add-on, it is fundamental to human experience. Through art and artists, we create space for imagination, experimentation, conversation, connection, fresh thinking and new solutions.
We believe that artists can show us the way.
It might feel like taking a step into the unknown. Things might get a little messy and complicated along the way. That’s OK. That’s what it takes to build something new.
And what if, along the way, we get it right?
Let’s reimagine places as dynamic, regenerative, people-centred spaces for play, rest, connection and possibility.
Let’s make space for magic in the everyday.
