Queer and Now

Queer and Now
An exploration of the Queer experience in Northern Ireland.

FRIDAY 22ND MARCH

8:00PM – 9:30PM (DOORS 7:30PM)

Accidental Theatre, 12-13 Shaftesbury Square & Online

£5 in person / free online

Together we will examine the political, social, and cultural landscape of Northern Ireland with regard to Queer rights and representation. We will collectively explore our personal experiences including their struggles with discrimination, coming out, and finding community.

This event is open to everyone who is interested in learning more about the Queer experience in Northern Ireland. We aim to create a safe and inclusive space where people can ask questions, share their own experiences, and engage in thoughtful discussion. Join us for an evening of education, empathy, and empowerment.

The discussion will be led by Emy Bainbridge (she/they), an openly Queer arts producer who grew up in the not so friendly rough and tumble of Lisburn. They have worked with organizations such as Reclaim The Agenda, Trans Pride NI, The Array Collective and Outburst arts and are dedicated to spreading the Queer Agenda.
