British Council’s Five Films for Freedom is the world’s widest-reaching digital celebration of LGBTQIA+ themed film. Now in its 12th year, it is a phenomenal global programme enabling us to stand in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities internationally, particularly in places where freedom and equal rights are limited. In that time, over 23 million people have watched in more than 200 countries and principalities; embracing the message that Love is a Human Right.
BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026. It is the biggest LGBTQIA+ film festival in Europe and takes place every year in the British Film Institute Southbank, London.
