This Choice Housing Springwatch event offers an engaging, educational experience that brings viewers closer to the birds that enrich our daily lives with their song and flight.

Led by bird-ringing expert Aidan Crean, this session provides a rare insight into the lives of local birds safely caught in mist nets for research. Aidan will share his expertise on bird species and their remarkable habits – from circumnavigating the globe to returning to their exact birthplace. He will discuss how birds mate, the significance of their songs, and how these natural migrations parallel the human inclination to seek new horizons when necessity dictates.

This hour-long, interactive event offers a ‘front-seat’ experience. Participants can observe the birds up close as they are gently handled for recording in an international database, with plenty of opportunities to ask Aidan questions throughout the process.
