Bubble & Squeak:
Live Podcast Recording

conversations

A mischievous audio experiment where intimate storytelling, comedy, and sound collide to queer the podcast form and smuggle serious ideas in through play.

TUESDAY 24TH MARCH

8:00PM – 9:15PM (DOORS 7:30PM)

FREE ADMISSION

Join performance artist and podcaster Peterson Toscano, with guests including Leo Lardie and Alexa Moore of the Rainbow Project, and poet Damian Gorman for a live recording of Bubble & Squeak: a hybrid event that sits somewhere between a podcast, a performance, and a mischievous ideas laboratory.

Each episode blends uncanny sound design, funny interludes, and stories—most weird, many true. For this live Belfast recording, Peterson will be joined by local guests, alongside solo sketch comedy in which he inhabits multiple characters, a short sound slice set in Belfast, and other surprises along the way.

Damian Gorman is a poet and playwright who has recently taken up the new role of Head of Peacebuilding at the charity Children in Crossfire (‘with nerves you could photograph’).
His most recent poetry formed the spines of two acclaimed shows which premiered in late 2025 – WITNESS (starring Andy Doherty), which tells the story of the year in which Richard Moore was ten, and blinded by a rubber bullet; and B O Y, a collaboration with the master uileann piper Leonard Barry telling the story of the abuse of Gorman’s brother Gerard by the priest Malachy Finegan.

Peterson Toscano is Imagine’s 2026 Artivist in Residence!

His other events in this year’s programme include:
Everything Is Connected: An Evening of Stories, Most Weird, Many True – Tuesday 24th March
The Weight of Carbon Dioxide and Chihuahuas: What do Chihuahuas, chickens, and climate change have in common? More than you’d think. – Saturday 28th March
A Queer Quaker Journey: From Evangelical Fear to Spiritual Belonging – Sunday 29th March
